Cambodia has officially updated its tourist visa fee structure, bringing changes that all travelers planning a trip to the Kingdom in 2025 should be aware of.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation recently confirmed a revised pricing policy, citing administrative improvements and increased tourism demands as key reasons behind the adjustment.
The standard Tourist Visa (T Class), which was previously priced at $30, will now cost $40 for a 30-day single-entry permit. This marks the first price increase in several years. Cambodian authorities say the extra funds will go toward enhancing eVisa systems, immigration checkpoints, and improving overall traveler experience.
For those applying for the eVisa online, the processing fee has also been raised from $6 to $10, bringing the total cost of an online tourist visa to $50. Travelers are encouraged to apply via the official eVisa portal to avoid scams or third-party overcharges, which have been on the rise.
Business visa (E Class) applicants are also seeing new changes. While the visa fee for the initial 30-day entry remains at $35, extensions for long-term stays will now cost more, depending on duration and purpose. These changes are part of Cambodia’s effort to better regulate foreign employment and digital nomads.
In response to public queries, Cambodian officials emphasized that visa-on-arrival options will remain available for travelers from most countries. However, they recommend using the digital platform in advance to reduce airport congestion and wait times. Immigration counters will enforce the new prices from August 1, 2025.
This move comes as Cambodia positions itself as a regional tourism hub post-pandemic. With increasing infrastructure investment in Siem Reap, Phnom Penh, and coastal areas like Sihanoukville, the government expects a surge in visitors, and the visa fee adjustment is seen as part of a larger modernization plan.
